new banner and procrastination pants

Oh my word have I been a great big huge procrastination pants lately!  Friend and fellow perpetrator of art Jesse Campbell was awesome enough to create this banner for my site a while ago (you may have already seen it over at ZOMBIE BITES in the side bar) and I am just now getting around to presenting it here.  I know, right?

Anyway, I’ll stop beating myself up about it and just say this is a pretty fucking awesome banner and I’m very proud to offer it to all who may favor my site with their presence.  Grab it up, shrink it down and plonk it in your side bar and, most of all, give Jesse some thanks, some cash or at least a thoughtful comment on his work.

That’s it for now.  I hope to increase my posting frequency in the future so check back later for more and thanks for stopping by!

banners, groveling and peen

There’s a couple of things I’ve been dragging my feet on and completely forgetting about, respectively.  Namely, the following:

First of all, Jesse Campbell over at ZOMBIE BITES has picked up my banner-making slack (this wasn’t even the first time!) and created the nifty banner you see to the left for OPG 2013: CruMpLe MaNiA!!  The very act of which is incredibly generous and forgiving of him especially considering the complete lack of support I’ve given him over the better part of a year or more.  His artistic efforts over the last couple of years have reached levels I am still struggling to attain and I truly admire his persistence and courage.  Take a minute to stop on by and offer your support in comments or donations.  He’s really thrown himself into his work and deserves reward for his efforts.

Secondly, holy moly crap!!  Can you believe I almost forgot the OCTOBER WEEN for this year’s Octoberween-Palooza-Ganza!!?!  Herp derp, Ed!  It’s an O-PG not a PG, you dumbass!  Anyway, here it is, freshly drawn in full crumple style:

This crumple is also fair game for anyone participating in this year’s OPG if you like your artwork filled with bloody, fuzzy peen.  As always, thanks for stopping by.

OPG 2012 and my generous selfishness

Well, here it is:  The now traditional “October Ween” which signals that my annual Octoberween-Palooza-Ganza has officially begun!  And after a hasty search through my art-stuffs earlier this evening, I’m pleased to announce that I have more than enough unseen original artworks for each and every day of the month of October for your derisive laughter viewing enjoyment.

I’ve also whipped up some wacky banners for all you crazy kids so you can annoy your friends with your suspicious taste in art.  Behold!

If these free banners which I made with my own blood sweat and tears aren’t good enough for you selfish bastards then you can suck my ass click the banner tag to pick from (and modify if needed) any of my past banners from past events and various random occasions.

Finally, you’re ALL encouraged to participate.  Just blog about Halloween, Horror, October in general or just express yourself with your own personal creation and send me the link so I can wrangle up all the entries to share with everyone else.  Why participate, you may ask?  Participation makes you cool and attractive to your preferred sex and also makes you eligible for possible giveaways during the month but most of all participation makes you eligible to put me to work for you.

This may not be for everyone but qualified OPG participants (and by “qualified” I mean the first three participants who are interested) can put me to work on a commission just for them.  The only restriction is that the commissioned artwork will have a size limit of 8.5″ x 11″ for ease of mailing.  Other than that, you’re calling the shots.  Just give me an idea of what you want and I’ll do my best to create it.  When finished I’ll mail it off to you and ask that you donate whatever amount your conscience dictates (although I would appreciate at least the cost of postage).  Why am I making such a generous offer?  Well, selfishness really.  I enjoyed my last commission and I’d like to try it again so help me out and put me to work for you this October!

Okay okay okay, I’ve babbled on enough.  We’ve got 30 more days to cover!  You ready?  Let’s go!!

new banner

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while but I’ve been busy with getting distracted lately (you know how that goes).  Anyhow, Jesse over at ZOMBIE BITES modified one of my OPG banners from this past October by adding a pretty cool glowing effect to it and I thought I’d share in case you were in the market for a new banner:

     Thanks Jesse!

Summer, Fall and the OPG!

Can you feel it?  The fever has broken.  Fall is on its way and Summer is going down for the count!  Hopefully, Summer has taken one too many head blows this year and will die from a massive brain hemmorage, never to return again.  In the meantime, the wife and I might be getting JUST A LITTLE excited about this coming October:

Furthermore, it’s time I let all of you in on the craziness and mayhem that’s going down in less than a month.  LESS THAN A MONTH!!  I’m salivating.  And you should be too because very very soon I will unleash my:

OCTOBERWEEN-PALOOZA-GANZA!!!

Octoberween-Palooza-Ganza will consist of the following parts:

First, I will be posting a minimum average of 1.39 original Halloween/Horror themed artworks each and every damned day THE ENTIRE MONTH of October!  Furthermore, the aforementioned minimum average is surely to increase as I squeeze in a few more artworks between now and then : D

Second, aside from the obvious celebration of Halloween and Horror, I will also be celebrating just over a year since Vincent’s Handmade Art got off the ground!  Yay!  Woooo!

Third, I would like to encourage everyone to participate in the spirit of the season and help me make the OPG something to remember.  I know this might take some work and (dare I say it) sacrifice, but I’m going to have to ask you all to take on the burden of blogging about Halloween or Horror sometime during the month of October.  I’m sorry to ask for such a unusual and taxing favor but it will be worth your time because by being an active participant in the OPG you will automatically be entered into:

FUZZY SKELETONIAN INSANE MEGA-GIVEAWAY!  FUZZY SKELETONIAN INSANE MEGA-GIVEAWAY!!  FUZZY SKELETONIAN INSANE MEGA-GIVEAWAY!!! FUZZY SKELETONIAN INSANE MEGA-GIVEAWAY!!1! FUZZY SKELETONIAN INSANE MEGA-GIVEAWAAAAAAAAAAYYY!!1!!

That’s right, folks.  I am prepared to give up 10 of my fuzzy fellas for adoption BUT there’s a catch!  In order to be officially entered into the giveaway YOU HAVE TO PARTICIPATE in the OPG, as described above.  Now, I know what you’re thinking, “Well now, that’s not really a giveaway in the true sense of the word, now is it?”  Well, you know what?  SHUT UP!  This is MY HOUSE and we all have to play by MY RULES!  Besides, I’m asking you to jump through a pretty easy hoop for the very good chance of getting your hands on one of these:

(ADULT CONTENT BELOW)

Actual size 5.5″ x 7.5″ on 90lb. watercolor paper and more detailed than what the scan shows.

This was the very first one I made this year and, therefore, represents the minimum level of quality you will witness from the inventory of Fuzzy Skeletonians I have to offer.  Now a few giveaway rules:

–  In order to be entered into the giveaway you must blog about Halloween or Horror and submit the link to me sometime during the month of October (if you don’t have a blog, please email me your entry and I will be happy to post it here during the OPG).

–  You can participate as many times as you like in the OPG but your participation will only make you eligible to receive ONE Fuzzy Skeletonian original artwork.

–  If there are 10 or less OPG participants this year, ALL qualified participants will be GUARANTEED to receive their very own Fuzzy Skeletonian artwork!  If there are more than 10 participants (I can only hope!) a random drawing will be held to determine who gets an artwork and who does not.

–  To add to the excitement, you will have no choice in which artwork you get!  All 10 fuzzy fellas will be displayed in detail during the OPG but you will not know which one you will ultimately get until you receive it in the mail!  Surprise!

–   Also, a little fair warning for those of you who are brand new to my blog.  All of my Fuzzy Skeletonian artworks will contain graphic violence and/or strong sexual content.  So, if you wish to still participate in the OPG but NOT be entered into the giveaway please let me know via email or comment.

Finally, I have the obligatory blogathon banners for all you crazy kids.  Behold!

Well, that about covers it for the OPG.  Now we all need to get our collective butts in gear and make sure we’ll be ready.  October’s coming fast and it’s going to give us all a good thrashing!

distraction procrastination and banneritis

Bear with me, folks, as I get my momentum back.  Here’s a sketchy, facey… thing that I drew a little while ago.  I hope it passes for content.  Anyway, I’ve been very lazy and easily distracted of late.  No sooner did I get over the flu, when I’ve been stricken with Procrastination Syndrome and a recurring case of Banneritis, where I get obsessed with making banners.  I’m not even very good at making banners but when the mood hits me I just can’t help myself.

I was first infected last summer when I helped Stacia, over at She Blogged By Night, make her banners for the Shatnerthon.  That was about 20 million pounds of fun in a 5 pound bag, lemme tell ya!  We only made a total of four or five banners to promote the event but I had a ball doing it!  Not only that, but it was what got me interested in blogging in the first place.

Anyhoo, Mr. Gable has been my latest banner victim.  I ran this one by him before I decided to post it so it’s all good.  Head on over and get your dose of Reality right damn now!

This is the first step in preparations for sprucing up my Links page.  If you have a banner for your site (or would like to be my next victim), please let me know.

may you have a banner year!

By request, I have made some banners to ring in the new year!  Feel free to yoink these and display them proudly in your sidebar as a symbol of your questionable taste in art.  If you have a banner you’d like to throw my way just let me know and I’ll include it on my links page, which could definitely use some sprucing up.

Oh my dear, 2011.  May you not suck big, hairy donkey dicks.
